The neighborhood
The long beach of Zandvoort offers many beach pavilions where you can eat and drink in the summer. Relax on a beach chair, enjoy nature, dip your feet in the sand, or take a lovely walk. In the winter, fewer beach pavilions are open, but you can still enjoy the sometimes wild sea and beautiful nature. Zandvoort is also known as "Amsterdam Beach" because you can reach Amsterdam Central Station in just 30 minutes by train. The hustle and bustle of the village is just around the corner while you can relax in your accommodation and enjoy the beach and nature outside. The Waterleidingduinen and Kennemerduinen are two national parks where you can enjoy beautiful hikes and bike rides. Want to have an active day? There are plenty of options such as mountain biking, learning to kite or surf, getting your PADI, sailing, or horseback riding. Circuit Park Zandvoort is located on the outskirts of Zandvoort, surrounded by dunes and beach. You can attend various events such as the world-famous Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix, the Historic Grand Prix Zandvoort, and the ADAC GT Masters.
Public Transport
Zandvoort Central Station is a 5-minute walk away. The train takes you to Amsterdam in 28 minutes and to Haarlem in 10 minutes.
